Flexible, reliable communication...
Data is transferred from DataWeb modules via TCP/IP on Ethernet, or serial modem (PSTN,GSM,ADSL or
radio). If the link is interrupted, error detection in the DataWeb Control
Centre software will initiate re-dialling until the data has been properly
aquired from the module.
...with intelligence
When real-time data is required - for example, if a mimic with
a live update is being viewed - DataWeb Control Centre establishes and
maintains the data link for as long as data is being accessed and displayed
.
Automatic data transfer
Stored data is transferred from the modules at scheduled times
or regular intervals. For serial connections, the dial-up connection is closed
when the data has been successfully transferred. On completion of the
transfer, the data in the module can be deleted if
required.
Complete data integration
Data from the modules is written into the main Orchestrator
database, and new data can be appended to the existing files, or replace
them.
The software can also integrate data from a wide range of
other acquisition modules and systems, including MSL's DataScan and Solo
modules.
Perfect timing...
The internal DataWeb clocks can be synchronised to the
main system clock to ensure that the sequence of data events is properly
recorded.
Expansion unlimited
DataWeb Control Centre is completely scaleable; starting from
the very affordable entry level package covering a single DataWeb module,
systems can be expanded up to 140 modules per location with no lilit to the
number of locations.
Alarm handling
When an alarm email is detected from any of the DataWeb
modules, the software immediately dials up and interrogates the module
location for additional information. Based on this, a variety of sutable
actions can be configured, including sending further messages by email or
SMS.
Password Protection
All data is protected from unauthorised access using a
password system.
Module configuration
DataWeb Control Centre software provides facilities for
configuring all acquisition and alarm options for every DataWeb module, using
the familiar on - screen dialog box entry system.
Alternative internet access
Local access to Data Web module data - for diagnostic or IP
configuration purposes, for example - is available via the module's integral
internet server.
DataWeb modules provide remote, rugged
data acuisition and logging facilities. 8 and 16 analog channel versions, with
configurable hi/lo alarm levels, are available, each with 8 additional digital
channels can be configured for pulse counting in metering applications.
Access
to DataWeb data is via Ethernet (TCP/IP) or serial link. Data can be accessed
live, and there are General and Event Loggers which can store over 12,000
readings at up to 10 readings/s. Data is accessed using ftp or
http.
