ÉireComposites is an innovative design, manufacturing and testing company, involved in lightweight, high performance fibre-reinforced composite materials, with an international customer base in aerospace, wind energy, marine, Formula 1 racing and general automotive sectors.

Situation

A number of composite production processes needed to be monitored.

Solution

ÉireComposites tasked Measuresoft, a Microsoft Certified Partner with the job of providing a monitoring solution for the company.

Measuresoft proposed and installed the machine monitoring solution based on its ScadaPro product running on the Microsoft Windows XP platform. The ScadaPro system was configured to acquire data from Datascan Solo data acquisition modules mounted in panels beside each production unit. The Datascan units acquire Voltage, Thermocouple and 4-20 mA transducer measurements from pressure sensors. ScadaPro monitors critical process parameters.

A ScadaPro client located in the office allows for remote monitoring and analysis outside of the production environment.


ÉireComposites now have a machine monitoring system that:
