Company Profile Motorola is a global leader in providing integrated communications solutions and embedded electronic solutions. Motorola's Network Solutions centre in Cork develop cellular network management systems which include features such as fault management, alarm and event management, configuration management, performance management, operator administration and security. Situation Motorola supply cellular network infrastructure equipment to mobile network operators such as BTCellNet, France Telecom etc. Typically these operators purchase equipment from more than one hardware vendor. This leads to problems integrating their Network Management Systems. Motorola required an interface to be developed so that network operators could easily integrate 3rd party hardware with Motorola Network Management Systems. Solution Motorola turned to Measuresoft, a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider, to develop a Software Development Kit (SDK) for their WindowsTM based Network Management Systems. Measuresoft was able to leverage the expertise gained on the development of Motorola's Network Management Systems in the first place. The SDK enables Network Operators to develop add-on Network Management applications tailored to their own needs and to integrate these applications with 3rd party vendor systems. The SDK provides developers with suitable information to interact with the system from client applications. Interaction includes: Synchronous retrieval of alarm information.  Synchronous retrieval of device information.  Registration for notification of events.   Manipulation of alarms.  Manipulation of devices.  Retrieval of system Meta Data  Sample applications and full HTML Help documentation is provided. The documentation has been fully integrated with Microsoft's MSDN Library. The SDK is based on the same technologies used in the development of Motorola's Network Management Systems.
