Measuresoft Quality Management System Certification
The Measuresoft Quality Management System is certified to the ISO 9001: 2000 standard.  This new standard is a leap forward from earlier versions adds real value to Measuresoft's offering.
One of the main changes the new standard is the use of continuous improvement in quality processes. Measuresoft's commitment to continuously improving its quality and technology capabilities helps drive its innovative customer solutions in the e-business, telecommunications and manufacturing sectors.
Measuresoft Quality Policy It is the policy of Measuresoft to achieve total customer satisfaction and meet customer requirements by delivering quality software products and services. We meet customer requirements by understanding and communicating clearly with our customers. We provide products and services in an open, honest and professional manner in order to build and sustain healthy long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers that are based on mutual respect and benefit. We deliver quality software by recruiting, training and retaining qualified and competent personnel. Measuresoft continuously improves the effectiveness of its systems by setting and reviewing objectives for business processes through management reviews and by ensuring the effectives of business processes and by regularly soliciting feedback from personnel, customers and independent auditors. Measuresoft ISO 9001 Project Measuresoft achieved ISO 9001 in 1998. Measuresoft implemented its Quality Management System through a 12 month cluster programme provided by the Centre for Software Engineering (CSE) at Dublin City University. The cluster provided a step by step framework to achieving ISO9001. Key steps included the documentation and application of procedures covering development lifecycle, project management, configuration management, auditing and customer support. Every member of staff made a valuable contribution to the development and implementation of the QMS. Measuresoft decided to use an online system and selected Microsoft Visual Sourcesafe as both a document control and configuration management tool. SGS Yarsley performed the successful assessment. ISO 9001 was achieved within a 13 month time frame and critical factors for success included: Strong commitment from management and staff Cluster step by step framework Small team with clear lines of communication. Stable systems environment Process approach to procedures Advice and backup from an experienced consultant. Measuresoft undertakes a bi-annual review of the quality system. In addition Measuresoft has recently passed a Motorola CMM Quality System Review and has initiated a Software Process Improvement Programme in 2000.
